Ragnarok Online 2 is probably one of the most awaited sequels to the MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) Ragnarok Online. Legend of the Second is the remake of the first sequel, Ragnarok Online 2 - The Gate of the New World. Gravity Corp., has scrapped the first sequel, retaining the 3D engine using the Gamebryo Engine for Legend of the Second instead of the Unreal Engine 2.5 used for The Gate of the New World.

That would mean, different workflow, game architecture, modules, and game integration used in development for Legend of the Second than The Gate of the New World.

Here are the key changes:
Job System
All the jobs come back except for the Merchant. Finally, all players can vend which also saves us time to level up our merchants up to level 10 Vend.

In addition to the jobs, RO2 Legend of the second has introduced different professions that you level up along with your main job. You can choose between Alchemist, Blacksmith (Well, they had to put the secondary jobs of the Merchant!), Chef and Artisan. These professions go with the new Dual-Life system, where players can set themselves as NPCs (Non-Playable Characters) while they are offline offering their services (tailoring, crafting, healing and etc..) to active players.

Card System
Cards are now embedded to the character itself instead to weapons, armor or accessories. Gravity Corp., has truly addressed the pains of instead using a rare weapon/item; we end up using a lower level weapon because of the card attached to it. Also, cards are now labeled as either Regular and Special. The latter being rarer to find than the former.

As of February 22, 2012 Ragnarok Online 2 : Legend of the Second has been open for Open Beta Testing (OBT).

Currently, I don't see any announcements of this game being released to Asia (other than South Korea), and America shores just yet. And if you do manage to get the kRO, you would be disappointed since you cannot understand the dialogue and you would be confused most of the time.

Take a look at the gallery below for some screenshots!

Also, the video below is the opening sequence inside the OBT game client itself.
